![]() ![]() Report back if you're still having trouble. You should then hear sounds when a Finale document is open and you peck on the keyboard. MIDI Thru should be selected-set it to acoustic piano to begin with. Start with SoftSynth as the output device, as that's the most straight-forward (you can change it after you get everything working). Start with making sure the Finale MIDI input device, output device, and "Thru" settings are correct. The MIDI options are arcane-don't feel bad. Please take me by the hand, step by step (baby steps please). I've been going through the FAQ section, but I still don't get it, what am I doing wrong? I'm running Windows XP on a brandnew computer, the keyboard is detected by XP, but I can't get any data (or sound) out of it. I've been messing around for a day now and I'm getting quite annoyed. ![]() My old Evolution MK-149 keyboard stopped being compatible some windows versions ago, so I got this one and quite frankly, the MIDI options are making me feel like an utter moron, as I don't understand it at all. ![]() ![]() I recently purchased the Finale 2012 upgrade and I can't input data via my (also new) keyboard: MakeMusic Forum > Public Forums > Finale - Windows - FORUM HAS MOVED! > No keyboard input and other inconveniences ![]()
